EHN Ottawa Outpatient

The Edgewood Health Network Ottawa is a premier clinic that provides treatment for addiction and substance use disorders. Our highly trained clinicians will work with you to create your personalized care plan. After that, we’re with you every step of the way as you learn the coping skills you need to stay sober. It’s a relationship for life.

Assessment / Treatment Placement

At Edgewood Health Network Ottawa, your care begins with an individual assessment. Every client is unique and we use industry standard screening tools to determine the level and severity of a substance use disorder. This allows us to determine the appropriate level of treatment for you and to develop your personalized care plan. Whether you need individual counselling, an outpatient addiction program or residential treatment, we’ll find the right fit. This means that every client gets the right care for their level of addiction.

Individual Counselling

Working with a qualified addiction therapist allows clients and families to access support and explore the underlying issues of addiction. Through varied modalities including CBT, DBT and interpersonal therapy, clinicians work to create sustained movement towards recovery.

After Care

Our Aftercare groups support you through the first few years of recovery. Though an assessment and/or discharge from a residential facility, clients receive treatment that incorporates individual, group and family care. We provide you with the guidance and support essential in dealing with difficulties that could derail your recovery.

Intensive Outpatient Program: An affordable and effective option to inpatient treatment!

IOPs are equally effective when compared with inpatient and residential treatments.
IOPs have emerged as a critical facet of 21st century addiction treatment for people
who need a more intensive level of service than usual outpatient treatment,
and they allow participants to…step down successfully from inpatient services.

Not everyone can leave their homes and jobs for a residential addiction treatment facility. But it doesn’t mean that help isn’t available. Education on addiction / Cognitive Behavioural Therapy / Relapse prevention techniques / Group therapy sessions / Anxiety management techniques / Healthy living practices /Assessments / Recovery Plan / Family involvement and education / Homework / Outside support / Recovery meetings. A continuous enrollment process for this program allows clients to immediately register for this intensive program any time after their consultation with one of our clinicians.

IOP is a 12-week, evening program (Mon-Thurs 6:00-8:00 pm) that allows the person to continue to work and stay at home while getting evidence-based treatment! It also includes a weekly individual counselling session.
