Families Healing Together
EHN Canada offers ways for families with a loved one in treatment for addiction or a mental health disorder to find support: Family Education Webinar Workshop and Weekly Families Connect Meetings.
WHY ARE FAMILY PROGRAMS SO IMPORTANT?
Watching someone you love struggle with addiction, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders isn’t easy. In fact, it can take an emotional toll on families. It’s why we offer our Family Programs to loved ones of those in treatment.
This has a two-fold benefit. First, it helps families themselves begin recovery, along with the person in treatment. And second, it gives people the tools and knowledge they need to continue to support their loved one’s recovery journey – understanding addiction and mental health and learning how to move forward together.

Who Can Attend Family Programs?
Our family programs are open to all loved ones of a person in treatment at an EHN Canada facility. This includes spouses, children, parents, and even extended family members and close friends.
FAMILY PROGRAMS ARE OPEN TO THOSE WITHOUT A LOVED ONE IN TREATMENT
Do you have a loved one who is struggling with addiction or a mental health disorder, but they are not currently in treatment? Our Family Programs are still available to those who think they may benefit from them.
Families who want to attend these programs without a loved one in treatment can pay $499 (plus applicable provincial taxes.) If your loved one decides to enrol in a program at an EHN Canada facility, this fee will be contributed to the overall cost of their program.

Programs to Support Families During Recovery
It takes different types of learning, work, and support for families to work through the impact addiction has had. We offer unique programs to help each step of the way.

Learn with our Family Education Webinar Workshop
Our Family Education Webinar Workshop takes places every 6 weeks over three half-days, (from 9:00 AM until 12:30 Pacific Time, and 12:00 to 3:30pm Eastern Time). This fully virtual workshop is open to as many people as would like to attend.
Over the course of the three sessions, loved ones will be taken through an educational presentation covering addiction and mental health disorders. Topics covered include:
- Codependency
- Emotional regulation and boundaries
- Mindfulness meditation

- Your recovery journey

Find Support with Families Connect
We understand that healing and recovery happen through connection. Families Connect is facilitated virtually each week. It provides individuals the opportunity to gain knowledge, tools and awareness, while gaining support and connection with others who share similar experiences.
This interactive session is hosted over Zoom, where families are invited to ask questions and engage in a conversation, if they would like.
