Our facility provides 12 beds for those in need of inpatient care. Patients participate in the Full Day Program for anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa or binge eating disorder. Additionally, our facilities are equipped to handle bariatric clients. We also have a teaching kitchen, peaceful yoga space, and single, private, and standard rooms.
Culinary Coaching and Meal Support
Culinary coaching is an integral part of the inpatient program and day programs. The coaching process helps clients enjoy and master cooking skills under the supervision of a registered dietitian and dietary technician. Within our programs, meals are customized for each client. Each client works through their own list of anxiety-generating foods – also known as an “exposure list”.
At WaterStone, all of our treatment staff provide meal support. Meal support includes friendly discussion, assistance through difficult moments and gentle hints to shape normal eating. This is the cornerstone of the journey to recovery.
Our occupational therapist works with clients individually and in groups to identify goals for building a better life, in the areas of leisure, career development and academic coaching. Coaching integrates skills learned during treatment in the Day Programs and elsewhere to guide clients on a journey of recovery based on values and mastery. Additionally, clients meet weekly in individual sessions to chart a way forward.
